LETTER FROM PASTOR CHESTER FISHER CONCERNING 2010 TRIP: Greetings in the name of our Lord, We have just returned from Haiti and the scenes are fresh in my mind. Devastation was everywhere. Thousands upon thousands of tents, everywhere you looked you would see tents. Without a doubt it looked like a war zone. It reminded me of the pictures I have of Berlin at the close of the W.W. II. As we arrived at the airport everything had been changed. They had to bus us to another part of the airport for processing which took one hour extra. We boarded our bus and Eddy gave us a one and one half hour tour of Port-au-Prince. We then headed to Petit Goive. It took 2 ½ hours to travel from Port-au-Prince to Petit Goive. Praise God it rained that night and cooled the temperature down. The next day we all got ready and went to Eddy’s church. There we met Pastor Preval and his wife. The 3 ½ hour service was great. Eddy raised the old roof and now has a good temporary place for them to worship. That second night it was almost impossible to sleep because of the heat. On Monday our nurse team of five and their helpers went to Eddy’s church for a clinic. David Myers and I change the shocks on the bus and then bought seven ceiling fans, and went to Eddy’s home and installed the fans. They were able to sleep after that. On Thursday Doug and I with Pastor Preval went to the hospital at Merebalais. We were able to talk to the administrator. We asked him if they were open to receive medical supplies from Fisher’s International. He said he welcomed our help. We are looking forward to helping this hospital in the future. Our nurses held five clinics and were able to see 1,369 people. Besides all the medicine and supplies we took on our trip, we also whipped four large containers, about five tons. Financial Spending: Shipping- $3,400 TOTAL- $13,275 It will take a lot of money to rebuild Eddy’s church. We are setting up a special account for Eddy’s church. We would not have been able to do anything without your help and support. “For we are laborers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry ye are God’s building.”- I Cor. 3:9. God can us all of us in His work, all we have to do is let Him. Thank you again for your support. May the Lord continue to bless your life in doing His will. Bro. Chester Fisher
