| 40% of the
population of Haiti has no access to healthcare and 70% has no access
to medications. Haitians suffer from illnesses such as malnutrition,
hypertension, parasites, malaria, dehydration, tuberculosis and
diabetes. In
2007, 7 days of clinic were held with 4 different villages provided
with medical care. 1,718 Haitians received care and over $5,000 of
medications were dispensed. |
